Our guide will pick you up at your hotel in Pamukkale/Karahayıt.
Karahayıt "Kırmızı su" (Red water)
The visit to Kırmızı su will take about 30 minutes.
Red water, called "Kırmızı su" by Turkish people - natural hot springs bubbling from beneath the calcite rocks - has similar characteristics to that of Pamukkale.
The natural thermal mud has been used for medical and beauty purposes for centuries.
You may take some time to relax and enjoy the natural setting.
The Ancient City of Hierapolis
The visit to The Ancient City of Hierapolis will take about 1.5 hours.
The visit to the ancient city of Hierapolis starts at the Northern entrance to the site at the Necropolis, which is one of the biggest ancient cemeteries in Anatolia with 1,200 graves.
The ruins of the Roman town of Hierapolis include Roman Baths, Domitian Gate, Agora, Byzantium Gate, Church, and the theater.
Cleopatra's Pool
Free time
Do not miss the experience of Cleopatra's Pool (Antique Pool).
The Cleopatra Pool is warmed by hot springs - the water temperature 36 degrees - and littered with underwater fragments of ancient marble columns.
This water is supposed to have many benefits to aid with skin health.
Travertines (Cotton Castle)
Free time
The name Pamukkale literally means "Cotton Castle" in Turkish is easy to see why it has been given this name.
The white cotton-like terraces are one of Turkey's most famous natural wonders with their unique calcite surface.
※Taking off your shoes (barefoot is mandatory).
※Our suggestion is that to split your free time between walking on the Pamukkale travertine mineral pool and swimming in the Cleopatra's Pool.
Lunch
About 1 hour
Have lunch at a restaurant in Pamukkale.
Souvenir shop
The visit to a local souvenir shop (stones, textile, leather, etc...) will take about 30 minutes.
Tour end
15:00-16:00
You drive back to your hotel in Pamukkale/Karahayıt.
- English-guided tour with around 12 participants.
- The free pick-up area is only in Pamukkale and Karahayıt. Transfers from Denizli Airport are extra.
- This tour is not suitable for guests with walking difficulties.
- Pamukkale entrance ticket does NOT cover swim in the Anique Pools, you need to pay extra if you dip into the pools.
- Depending on the situation, the itinerary might be changed.
